Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent in La Porte, TX to lead safety-focused maintenance across multiple facilities. You will direct daily maintenance, plan turnarounds, and drive reliability improvements while developing a high-performing team.

Responsibilities include prioritizing work, coaching staff, and partnering with Operations leadership to align maintenance with plant needs. Strong leadership and maintenance expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in petrochemical, industrial gas, refining, chemical manufacturing, maintenance, or operations.
• Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred.
• Engineering degree is preferred; equivalent maintenance/industrial experience may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of reliability, predictive maintenance, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Direct daily maintenance activities, turnarounds, and outage recovery to maximize reliability.
• Prioritize maintenance schedules and ensure clear execution plans.
• Mentor maintenance personnel and contractors, providing coaching and guidance.
• Develop succession plans and strengthen organizational capability.
• Collaborate with Operations and Plant Leadership to set maintenance priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes and cost optimization.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
