Job summary

Ideal candidates bring ten years in maintenance and reliability in a large plant, with at least four years of direct supervision and union-management experience. A BS in engineering and SAP familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ten years of maintenance and reliability experience in a large industrial facility.
• Four years of direct supervisory experience.
• Experience directly managing an organized labor union.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a staff of five supervisors and engineers and a workforce of about forty.
• Lead area safety initiatives and drive improvement activities to reduce risks.
• Ensure environmental compliance is met in daily work.
• Manage hourly staff needs including training of new mechanics and electricians.
• Execute the area maintenance plan and improve reliability.
• Lead turnarounds planning and execution.
• Oversee day-to-day troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Track and resolve repetitive problems with timely solutions.
• Adhere to and improve predictive and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Identify risks, increase reliability, and reduce costs proactively.
• Develop and implement the area maintenance budget and drive cost improvements.
• Set performance expectations and provide feedback to reports.
