Job summary

Domtar's Johnsonburg, PA facility seeks a Maintenance Superintendent to lead the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams, reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager. The role supervises about 40 staff including five supervisors/engineers, drives safety initiatives, and ensures environmental compliance while optimizing maintenance plans and budgets.

Ideal candidate has a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, union experience, and a BS in engineering with related certifications.

Qualifications

Ten years of maintenance and reliability experience in a large industrial facility.
At least four years of direct supervisory experience.
Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
Experience directly managing an organized labor union.

Responsibilities

Lead the Mechanical and Electrical maintenance team and supervise five supervisors and engineers plus ~40 staff.
Drive area safety initiatives and implement cost-improvement programs.
Ensure environmental compliance in maintenance activities.
Manage hourly staff training and development for mechanics and electricians.
Execute and improve the area maintenance plan and reliability.
Lead turnarounds and coordinate planning and execution.
