Job summary

Domtar is seeking a Paper Mill Manager in Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania. This full-time role directs and leads operating performance for the Paper Mill Department, including safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost control and productivity, with indirect supervision of hourly staff and direct oversight of salaried operations.

You will manage budgets, drive continuous improvement, mentor a diverse team, and ensure reliable, high-quality product output.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in paper, engineering or related field.
10+ years experience working in paper manufacturing.
15+ years leadership experience.
Experience with Unions.

Responsibilities

Safety, environmental and quality leader of the mill's operating team; including Paper Mill Departments.
Lead, motivate, and support a team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment; setup and implement career development plans for direct reports.
Responsible for personnel succession and development planning for the unit.
Conduct budget reviews and manage cost improvement plans.
Engage in long-term planning to create initiatives that further the mill's goals.
Identify opportunities to maximize profitability and minimize expenses.
Drive data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets.
