Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent at the Superintendent 1 or 2 level to oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and building systems. You will organize schedules, supervise staff, and drive cost-effective, high-quality maintenance aligned with mission needs.

You will partner with Facilities Management, Engineering, Planning, Project Management and Procurement, ensuring safety training and compliance while delivering work on schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to execute maintenance work activities including control systems upgrades and renovations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety practices, lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures.
• Experience directing multi-discipline craft teams and coordinating with management and unions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the maintenance of facility systems and corrective actions.
• Issue daily work assignments and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with Facilities Management, Engineering, Planning and Procurement.
• Ensure safety and security training compliance and stop work if unsafe.
