Job summary

Greco in Shoreview, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep properties in top condition, respond to maintenance needs, and perform repairs to ensure residents enjoy a well-maintained, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities include grounds upkeep, landscaping, appliance repair, painting, turnover work, and basic HVAC/plumbing/electrical support, plus preventative maintenance and snow removal as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required.
• Regular attendance, punctuality, and reliability essential for residents, vendors, and team members.

• Grounds & curb appeal: maintain outdoor spaces to ensure the property looks its best.
• Flower & plant maintenance: watering, weeding, seasonal upkeep.
• Trash & recycling: manage waste areas for cleanliness and proper sorting.
• Garage maintenance: keep parking areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Respond to work orders, diagnose issues, and perform repairs.
• Appliance repair: troubleshoot and repair in-unit and common area appliances.
• Painting: touch-ups and full-unit painting as needed.
• Turnover maintenance: prepare apartments for new residents with repairs and cleaning.
• HVAC, plumbing & electrical: assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Preventative maintenance: routine inspections to prevent major issues.
• Snow and ice removal: snow blowing, shoveling, salting, and chipping ice.
• Purchase and coordinate parts and materials.
• Coordinate with painters, carpet installers, and other contractors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Grounds & Curb Appeal - Maintain clean and well-kept outdoor spaces, ensuring the property always looks its best.
• Flower & Plant Maintenance - Care for landscaping, including watering, weeding, and seasonal upkeep.
• Trash & Recycling - Manage waste disposal areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper sorting.
• Garage Maintenance - Keep parking areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Work Orders - Respond promptly to maintenance requests, diagnosing and repairing issues efficiently.
• Appliance Repair - Troubleshoot and repair in-unit and common area appliances.
• Painting - Perform touch-ups and full-unit painting as needed.
• Turnover Maintenance - Prepare apartments for new residents, including repairs, cleaning, and inspections.
• HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical - Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs in these areas.
• Preventative Maintenance - Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues before they become major problems.
• Perform snow and ice removal - snow blowing, shoveling, salting, and chipping ice build-up on sidewalks, walkways, parking lots, roofs, and common spaces.
• Purchase and pick up approved parts and materials needed to perform maintenance duties.
• Coordinate with the schedules of painters, carpet installers, and other contractors as necessary.
• Other Duties as Assigned - Support the team with additional tasks to ensure smooth property operation.

Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Organized self-starter and motivated, with strong work ethic, excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Regular attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential to effectively serve residents, vendors, and team members during scheduled work hours.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required
• Extended hours for turnover work may be necessary

Salary: $30 - $33/hour with bonus potential
