Job summary

St. Norbert College is seeking a Maintenance Specialist/Locksmith to join our facilities team.

This role oversees all locksmith services across campus, including repair, maintenance, and installation of locks and related components, ensuring campus security and reliability. The position also manages a preventive maintenance program, keeps an accurate inventory of locksmith supplies, and participates in on-call snow removal duties.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform numerous maintenance tasks campus-wide, including daily work orders, repairs, and modifications.
• Recore locks, change lock cores, install new locks, panic bars, and door closers.
• Repair and maintain all lock mechanisms and maintain records on key inventory.
• Maintain and install automatic door openers.
• Perform various masonry tasks and repairs.
• Repair broken windows and install new window components.
• Perform various carpentry tasks.
• Assist with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
• Assist with snow removal and participate in the on-call program.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college, is seeking a Maintenance Specialist/Locksmith to join our facilities team.

This position is responsible for all locksmith services across campus, including the repair, maintenance, and installation of locks and related components.

The position also oversees a scheduled preventive maintenance program and maintains an accurate inventory of locksmith supplies to help ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained campus for the St. Norbert College community.

Regular work hours are Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

The position is generally not expected to work nights or weekends except for snow removal.

Specific responsibilities:
