Job summary

St. Norbert College in Wisconsin seeks a Maintenance Specialist/Locksmith to provide locksmith services across campus, repair, maintain, and install locks and related components, and oversee the preventive maintenance program.

Responsibilities include door hardware, panic bars, window components, masonry, carpentry, and routine upkeep. They will assist with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs, participate in snow removal, and join the on-call rotation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of related maintenance experience.
  • Certification in a professional locksmith course required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform campus maintenance tasks, repairs, and modifications.
  • Recore locks, change cores, install new locks, panic bars, and door closers.
  • Repair and maintain lock mechanisms and track key inventory.
  • Maintain and install automatic door openers.
  • Perform masonry, window, carpentry tasks as needed.
  • Assist with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Assist with snow removal and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college, is seeking a Maintenance Specialist/Locksmith to join our facilities team. This position is responsible for all locksmith services across campus, including the repair, maintenance, and installation of locks and related components. The position also oversees a scheduled preventive maintenance program and maintains an accurate inventory of locksmith supplies to help ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained campus for the St. Norbert College community.Regular work hours are Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
