Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to keep the store clean, safe, and well organized. You will perform routine cleaning, basic repairs, and upkeep of the store and surrounding areas while supporting customers and team members.

Responsibilities include operating a floor scrubber, unloading trucks, stocking, and assisting with store activities. You will report safety hazards and participate in training, embracing Rural King's People First values and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 30–50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Identify and report safety hazards and maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the store and surrounding areas, including floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures, displays, parking lots, and exterior areas.
• Operate a floor scrubber; empty trash; restock supplies.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs (bulbs, minor plumbing, fixtures).
• Identify and report safety hazards and equipment issues.
• Assist with unloading trucks, stocking, zoning, and other store activities.
• Provide friendly, professional support to customers and associates.
• Participate in cross-training and required learning opportunities.
• Demonstrate Rural King's values of People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
