Job summary

Permobil is hiring a Maintenance Skilled Technician for the 2nd shift. The role involves maintaining all ROHO equipment, performing preventative maintenance, repairing machinery, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll log work, follow safety policies, and contribute to team performance. The position requires an Associates Degree or 3–5 years related experience, strong mechanical skills, PLC/HMI knowledge is a plus, and the ability to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 3–5 years direct related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Good communication skills, mechanical aptitude, fabrication skills helpful; PLC and HMI skills helpful; problem solving.
• Manual dexterity to handle items and perceive attributes.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ROHO equipment by performing preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure operation of machinery and equipment; inspect for failures and repair with hand/power tools.
• Manage equipment records/logs to support predictive maintenance.
• Install functional and structural parts on devices or equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with safety policies.
• Contribute to team with good attendance and meeting performance metrics.

Shift: 2nd Shift Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:30pm

Schedule: Full-time(Must have the ability to work overtime hours.)

Your Role in Our Mission

Maintains all ROHO equipment by performing preventative maintenance on equipment, inspecting and repairing all equipment, and assisting with any other special projects.

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by: Observing all equipment to assure proper operation of all systems and find possible failures; repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments; performing preventive maintenance on equipment; repairing electrical equipment.

Manage equipment database by: Maintaining written records for every piece of equipment; logging work done and failures in order to establish a predictive maintenance program.

Adjusts parts of devices and control instruments by: Installing functional and structural parts on devices or equipment.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by: Operating all machinery in a safe and efficient manner; reporting any safety hazards to assigned supervisor or safety manager; complying with all safety and quality policies, practices and procedures.

Maintains quality service by: Keeping error rates minimal and within acceptable ranges; maintaining an efficient work pace; meeting and exceeding all performance measurements: quantity, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.

Contributes to team effort by: Maintaining a good attendance record; accomplishing related results as needed.

Maintains technical knowledge by: Attending educational workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.

Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

Associates Degree from college or technical school or 3 to 5 years direct related experience or an equivalent combination.

Good communication skills; mechanical aptitude; fabrication skills helpful; PLC and HMI skills helpful; good reasoning skills; good problem solving skills.

Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database, activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $28.00 – $32.00 per hour . Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
