Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B in Covington, KY to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking systems, engines, HVAC, and drivetrains. You’ll work on a single fleet with state-of-the-art equipment, supporting drivers on routes and ensuring rapid service.

Qualifications
- Diagnose multi-system issues and apply technical expertise.
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- Experience with light/medium/heavy trucks and related systems.
- ASE certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems for preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
- Chassis component repair and maintenance; refuse bodies, control, hydraulic and electrical systems; and air/hydraulic braking systems.
- Light engine repair and maintenance; suspension, drivetrain and steering; heating/AC.
- Performs welding and fabrication; provides safe road service when needed.
- Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools and complete company training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
