Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel refuse trucks and related systems. You will work on chassis, bodies, control and hydraulic/electrical systems, HVAC, suspension, and drive train, with occasional tire work. On-site and road service support helps keep fleets running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience or training on Class 1–5 light/medium and heavy-duty Class 7–8 vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies, and control systems.
• Repair and maintain light engine, suspension, steering, and heating/AC.
• Perform line welding and fabrication; provide road service as needed.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and diagnostics.
• Complete required company training and duties as assigned.

Skills

Diagnose multi-system issues

Work order labor time understanding

Maintenance on Class 1-5 & 7-8 trucks

ASE certs (T1–T8) a plus

CDL a plus

3–5 years technician experience orAuto

Education

Accredited automotive college/technical school
