Job summary

Saia Motor Freight Line LLC is seeking a Maintenance Shop Manager to oversee the maintenance team, manage parts and inventory, and drive safety and efficiency across shifts. The role emphasizes coaching staff, hiring, and ensuring compliance with preventative maintenance practices.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in business or related field, 5+ years in equipment maintenance with 3+ in management, and relevant engine diagnostic software training.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
5+ years of equipment maintenance experience, including 3+ years of management.
Factory training and certification in engine diagnostic software.
Knowledge of TMW transportation software.

Responsibilities

Supervises maintenance shop staff across various shifts.
Interviews candidates, trains new hires, and provides coaching.
Oversees management of parts, tires, and supply inventories.
Instructs technicians on proper use of diagnostic tools and software.
Ensures preventative maintenance and repair practices on equipment.
