Job summary

Saia LTL Freight in El Paso, TX, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance shop, manage staff across shifts, and ensure safe, reliable equipment. You will oversee parts and inventories, coach technicians, and drive preventative maintenance programs to optimize uptime.

Your role includes coordinating with terminal management to maximize equipment availability and ensure safety and efficiency across the fleet.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
5+ years of equipment maintenance experience, with 3+ years in a management role.
Factory training and certification in engine diagnostic software.
Knowledge of TMW transportation software.
Experience interviewing, training, and coaching employees.

Responsibilities

Supervises maintenance shop staff across various shifts.
Interviews candidates, trains new hires, and provides coaching and counseling to employees.
Assists in setting shop goals for maintenance and safety programs.
Oversees the management of parts, tires, and supply inventories.
Instructs technicians on diagnostic tools and computer software for troubleshooting.
Ensures proper preventative maintenance and repair practices on equipment.
Manages approvals and payment processing for orders.
Communicates with terminal management to maximize equipment availability.
