Job summary

Prime Residential in Portland, OR is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support essential maintenance operations across our communities. You will help oversee the service team, drive efficiency, and ensure curb appeal, make-readies, and timely service requests in alignment with our community standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential property maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of leadership experience overseeing a maintenance team.
• Valid driver’s license for community vehicles.
• Multi-family housing experience preferred.
• Competency in property management software (RealPage/OneSite) preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the service team with the Service Manager to ensure high performance and efficiency.
• Conduct daily meetings and provide coaching to the team.
• Lead training sessions with the Maintenance Training Manager.
• Collaborate with Service Manager and Community Director on personnel, operations, and budget.
• Maintain safety and customer-focused culture; ensure timely service requests are completed.
• Inspect and ensure quality of work by contractors and service providers.
• Manage inventory, preventative maintenance, and vendor relationships.
