Job summary

Arlington Properties in Cary, NC is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician to prep vacant apartments for market and handle work orders with skill and urgency. You’ll perform general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair to keep units move-in ready.

You’ll keep grounds and common areas tidy, support preventative maintenance and inspections, and stay on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–5 years hands-on maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.).
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions.
• Excellent communication and professionalism with residents and team members.
• Available to work flexible schedules, including weekends and on‑call shifts.
