Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler for our Fort Worth, TX facility. You will develop short-, mid-, and long-term work schedules and coordinate with Maintenance, Production Scheduling, and Sanitation teams to optimize labor hours and uptime.

Responsibilities include creating weekly schedules, generating CMMS reports, and maintaining accurate work order records, with emphasis on reliability and efficiency across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year technical degree preferred or 3 years scheduling experience.
• 2+ years of maintenance scheduling/technician experience.
• Proficiency with CMMS (e.g., Maintenance Connection).
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of preventative/predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of maintenance project implementation.
• Knowledge of production and manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Ability to work within an integrated operating enterprise.
• Ability to manage team members on complex programs.
• Ability to work a variable schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with the production scheduler to schedule all ready-to-schedule work.
• Determines schedules, sequences, and assignments for work based on priority and equipment needs.
• Creates weekly maintenance schedules for the plant and distributes to departments.
• Utilizes the Work Management Process and CMMS for scheduling compliance.
• Generates reports and tracks metrics to improve scheduling efficiency.
• Maintains high quality work order documentation and records in CMMS.
