Job summary

The Maintenance Planner Scheduler at West Liberty Foods will develop and assign weekly maintenance work schedules, coordinate with operations and maintenance, and ensure clear communication for timely repairs and preventive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.

You will maintain equipment history files, support PM/PdM improvements, and manage safe scheduling across internal teams and outside contractors while upholding food safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment with maintenance planning experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS or other maintenance planning platforms.
• Ability to work independently and within a team; strong organizational and time management skills.
• Able to communicate with all levels of the organization; follow food safety guidelines and HACCP requirements.
• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop and assign weekly work schedules for routine and corrective maintenance activities.
• Lead preventative maintenance planning meetings.
• Analyze work stoppages to identify root causes and generate maintenance metrics.
• Organize and maintain equipment history files and CMMS data.
• Coordinate maintenance activities across internal departments and external contractors.
• Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency and cost.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Support long-range and short-range maintenance planning.
• Coordinate equipment downtime and liaise with production teams.
• Partner with all departments; back up MMS Supervisor when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
