Schedule: Mon–Thu 6:30 am–4:00 pm, 45-minute lunch; Friday 6:30 am–11:30 am. Hourly Rate: $19.67.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant.
• Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering.
• Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering.

Job description

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Physical Plant Services invites applications for the position of Maintenance Repairer 2. This position performs maintenance functions in the HVAC Shop. Having a working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing operations are necessary. Maintenance knowledge and experience will aid in cleaning air handling units, mechanical rooms, cooling towers, and equipment. This position will also clean and change filters and coils, oil and grease equipment, log equipment operations, and assist in installing different HVAC systems.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:30 am - 4:00 pm, 45-minute lunch and Friday 6:30 am - 11:30 am

Hourly Rate: $19.67

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
• Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR
• Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.
