Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking an experienced maintenance supervisor to lead a team in daily department operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and manage CMMS activities, audits and continuous improvements in material handling systems.

The role requires 2 years in industrial maintenance, plus several years in maintenance or people management, with strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years industrial maintenance experience required.
• Six (6) years combined industrial maintenance and/or people management experience preferred (or four (4) years with relevant degree).
• Experience leading project teams or supervising lower level employees.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, skills development, recognitions and rewards, performance management and staff productivity.
• Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls day-to-day operations of the department.
• Ensures compliance and addresses variances and budget concerns.
• Communicates quality and safety expectations for maintenance tasks, aligning with FedEx standards.
• Oversees preventative maintenance programs and CMMS data entry/work orders.
• Provides technical expertise in sortation electrical and mechanical systems.
• Completes quality audits and communicates results.
• Identifies and proposes improvements to the material handling system.
• Manages bids from and relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
