Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Manager Manufacturing Operations 3 to lead the Machine Maintenance organization and ensure uptime, reliability, and safe operation of critical manufacturing equipment across shifts.

You will develop maintenance strategies, monitor KPIs, drive TPM/RCM, coordinate with cross-functional teams, oversee spare-parts management, and provide executive reporting on performance and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/manufacturing/industrial engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in maintenance management.
• 5+ years leading preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, reliability, or equipment uptime programs.
• Experience with CNC machine tools and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience analyzing equipment performance and translating findings into actions.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Machine Maintenance organization to ensure uptime, reliability, and safe operation of manufacturing equipment across multiple shifts.
• Develop and monitor maintenance KPIs (uptime, PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR).
• Lead RCCA activities for significant or recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain to prioritize maintenance and minimize disruption.
• Develop and execute preventive/predictive maintenance strategies (TPM, PdM) and transition to proactive maintenance.
• Oversee spare-parts and obsolescence management; manage OEM/supplier relationships for maintenance services and parts.
• Provide executive-level reporting on uptime, downtime events, reliability risks, and maintenance performance.
