Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a Maintenance Project Specialist to support maintenance and engineering initiatives across facility infrastructure and production equipment. You will plan, coordinate, and execute projects, troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and work with cross-functional teams and contractors to complete work safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of related maintenance, project, or manufacturing experience.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience managing or coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and manuals.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and reliability improvement practices.
  • Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contractor management.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience working in a team environment with maintenance, operations, engineering, and vendors.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute maintenance and reliability improvement projects from conception through completion.
  • Assist with installation, relocation, modification, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements while tracking progress.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues affecting project implementation and reliability.
  • Interface with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate services and obtain quotations.
  • Create and maintain project documentation including work orders and equipment records.
  • Assist in developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve uptime.
  • Review equipment drawings, schematics, and technical specs to support activities.
  • Coordinate parts ordering and inventory for maintenance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support during equipment repairs and outages.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.

Shift: Day
Schedule:7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM (Flexible). Monday through Friday; Weekends as needed based on project needs
Pay rate: $35.00

Position Summary

Support maintenance and engineering initiatives by planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance-related projects involving facility infrastructure, production equipment, reliability improvements, and capital expenditures. Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting while supporting equipment installations, upgrades, preventive maintenance programs, and process improvement activities. Work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and outside contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute maintenance and reliability improvement projects from conception through completion.

  • Ensure all projects comply with company safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance personnel during equipment repairs, outages, and shutdown activities.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects including utilities, building maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Practice personal safety and follow all safety practices and procedures. Comply with all policies, practices, and procedures. Report unsafe conditions and activities to management.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Requires an Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field; and 3 to 5 years of related maintenance, project, or manufacturing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience managing or coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, safety rules, operating procedures, and engineering specifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to managers, operators, maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors.
Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and travel throughout manufacturing and maintenance areas.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl while inspecting equipment or supporting project activities.
  • The employee must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate computers, use hand tools, and inspect equipment.
  • The employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and hear in manufacturing environments.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
