Sealed Air is seeking a Team Performance Lead for the Romeoville site. You will manage daily shift operations, align production priorities with management, and ensure orders are processed with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement and team performance tracking. You will coach team members, lead Tier 1 meetings, and support Lean initiatives while maintaining strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.
• Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word)
• Demonstrated safety commitment.
• Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
• Assist and support Lean initiatives within the department.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• As a team member, follow all safety, quality, plant GMP, and safe food handling rules.
• Flexible work schedule based upon project demands and business needs.

Responsibilities

Team Performance Lead

Position Summary

The Team Performance Leader (TPL) is accountable for leading daily shift operations and assisting the Management team as needed to meet performance goals. Additionally, the TPL will coordinate production requirements by communicating production priorities established through Production Management, Production Control, and Shipping, as well as ensuring orders are processed with an emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. This role will also be responsible for meeting continuous improvement objectives and monitoring the performance of the team and taking appropriate actions when an individual or team is not meeting goals in safety, productivity, and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Quality: Proactively take actions to minimize scrap, spoilage, customer returns, and direct teams toensure that quality indicators are tracked and up to date.


• Production: Audit standards, update shift production targets, ensure service functions (For Example:Warehouse, Core Cutting, Plate-making, Supply Depot, Maintenance) do not impact shift productivity,and potentially be available as back-up or extra manpower to prevent line stoppage. Lead and directteams to ensure proper line balancing and take appropriate action to meet business needs.


• Training: Close the gap on training. The TPL is expected to identify training gaps of individual operatorsand be able to utilize SPL's (Single Point Lessons) to close these gaps.


• Administrative: Prepare shift manning schedules to ensure proper coverage and production isachieved. Record attendance and document vacation and holiday taken. Document absenteeism andcommunicate unfavorable trends to the supervisor. Advise management of employee issues that mayrequire their immediate attention to Safety, Quality, Production, and Personnel issues.


• Prepare and lead daily Tier 1 (AKA \"Focus 5\") Shift production meetings. Facilitate real-time root causeproblem solving and ensure escalation protocols are followed (linking support functions).


• Develop team maturity: Coach and counsel teams through accountability matrix, motivate team toachieve goals, and ensure effective team communication.


• Assist management in assessing individual and team performance and development.


• Support and champion business decisions.


• Direct individuals and/or teams regarding immediate actions when necessary to meet Safety, Quality,or Productivity measures.


• May recommend disciplinary action outside of the Accountability Matrix.


• Perform other related duties as assigned


• Function as a key communicator, which includes both internal and external communications regardingcritical issues impacting the department's performance.
