Job summary

dfa is seeking a Maintenance Systems Coordinator for our Cabool, MO retort plant that produces dairy-based coffee beverages. The role coordinates work orders, manages parts and supply purchasing, and schedules planned and emergency maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

This on-site position requires an undergraduate degree and 2–5 years in maintenance planning, with strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and SAP CMMS.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–5 years of maintenance, maintenance planning and scheduling, machine reliability, or related experience.
• Mechanical experience with high-speed bottling, canning, packaging and EVAP equipment is highly desired.
• Working knowledge of boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems a plus.
• Knowledge of and skill with MS Office Suite and company computer systems (i.e. SAP CMMS).
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily plant maintenance operations and projects and help ensure production schedules are met and plant efficiencies are maintained.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Support day-to-day operations of onsite maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) inventory.
• Coordinate material requests, supplier and plant schedules, and establish project timelines; negotiate with and coordinate activities with other department managers.
• Review, analyze, and evaluate the quality, cost, availability, etc., of parts for the planning process.
• Determine planning status of work orders; manage planning information in CMMS.
• Determine level of job planning required for large maintenance jobs.
• Determine workforce requirements and work schedules.
• Exchange information with supervisors, distributors, equipment manufacturers, and vendors or contractors; guide maintenance personnel in planned and unplanned work activities.
• Partner with other departments regarding resolution of ongoing problems and implementation of new procedures or processes.
• Administer work order systems including backlog management and status updates; work through backlog planning.
• Work with maintenance management to review and implement improvements within the work order/parts inventory systems.
• Will perform hands-on maintenance and electrical work as needed.
