Job summary

Empire Livestock LLC seeks a Maintenance Systems Coordinator for our Cabool, MO site to support maintenance operations by coordinating work orders, managing parts and purchasing, and scheduling preventive and emergency maintenance to keep production on track.

You will track projects in CMMS, coordinate with production teams and external contractors, and drive improvements for efficient, reliable plant performance. Shift: 1st. Competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
  • 2–5 years in maintenance planning/scheduling or related.
  • Mechanical experience with high-speed bottling, canning, packaging and EVAP equipment.
  • Knowledge of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate work orders and maintenance planning to meet production schedules.
  • Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Support MRO inventory operations and parts purchasing.
  • Coordinate material requests and supplier/contractor activities.
  • Review parts quality and costs; manage CMMS planning data.
  • Determine workforce needs and schedules for maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to implement new procedures.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance and electrical work as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a Maintenance Systems Coordinator to join our Cabool, MO retort plant, where we produce dairy-based coffee beverages. In this role, you will support maintenance operations by coordinating work orders, managing parts and supply purchasing, scheduling planned and emergency maintenance activities, tracking projects, and partnering with production teams and external contractors to ensure efficient and reliable plant performance.

Shift: 1st

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support daily plant maintenance operations and projects and help ensure production schedules are met and plant efficiencies are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the onsite maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) inventory.
  • Coordinate material requests, supplier and plant schedules, and established project timelines; negotiate with and coordinate activities with other department managers.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate the quality, cost, availability, etc., of parts for the planning process.
  • Determine the planning status of work orders; manage planning information in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Determine the level of job planning required for large maintenance jobs.
  • Determine workforce requirements and work schedules.
  • Exchange information with supervisors, distributors, equipment manufacturers, and vendors or contractors. In coordination with management, guide maintenance personnel in planned and unplanned work activities.
  • Partner with other departments regarding the resolution of ongoing problems, the implementation of new procedures or processes, the injection of new products or product lines, and the development of new plans and designs.
  • Administer work order systems including managing backlog, providing appropriate status on items, and strategically working through backlog planning.
  • Work with maintenance management to review, enhance, and implement improvements within the work order/parts inventory systems.
  • Will perform hands-on maintenance and electrical work as needed.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
  • 2 to 5 years of maintenance, maintenance planning and scheduling, machine reliability, or related experience.
  • Mechanical experience with high-speed bottling, canning, packaging and EVAP equipment is highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems a plus.
  • Knowledge of and skill with MS Office Suite and company computer systems (i.e. SAP CMMS)
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
