Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

JOB FIELD: Production, Maintenance & Technical Services
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting operations problems, ordering repair parts, managing the work order backlog, and performing long-range and short-term planning of in-house and contractor labor, as well as cost estimating.
- Ensuring critical spare parts and materials are in inventory, and that expedited repairs are executed efficiently.
- Supporting sustainability principles of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care, EPA, and OSHA initiatives by protecting the environment, health, safety, and security of employees, contractors, and visitors. Knowledge of OSHA PSM regulations, ASME codes, and API codes is important.
- Analyzing cost trends, using Total Productive Maintenance techniques, tracking key performance indicators, and maintaining equipment histories to ensure equipment reliability.
- Coordinating with procurement, labor, suppliers, and plant production groups.
- Using SAP for maintenance work orders and procurement processes, maintaining critical SAP data such as functional locations, material masters, and maintenance plans. Utilizing the Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project, for emails, databases, and reporting.
- Planning and scheduling annual turnarounds of production plants, coordinating resources from repair parts to contract labor to rental equipment.
Expertise needed includes:
- High School Diploma/GED required; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with chemical plant production equipment highly preferred.
- At least 3+ years related expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance systems, equipment, planning, and scheduling.
- Able to read piping & instrumentation diagrams, engineering specifications, and vendor-supplied technical information.
- SAP knowledge required; MS Project and Avetta software preferred.
- Understanding of multiple crafts (mechanical, I/E, scaffolding, rigging, excavation) preferred.
- Good working knowledge of all crafts and a solid understanding of MPI.
- Ability to handle non-routine and emergency activities, such as schedule breakers, plant shutdowns, start-up, commissioning, etc.
