Qualifications

Job description

Overview

Stryten Energy, with a long history in Lancaster County, operates a growing plastic injection molding facility in West Lampeter Township. We produce plastic components for car batteries and have a stable and growing customer base.

Self-starter with excellent management, problem solving, communication and project management skills. Must be able to effectively organize, direct and control all aspects of maintenance PM operation with emphasis on safety, budgeting, team building and department training. Work effectively with plant engineering and all other departments to establish operational efficiency of production equipment, which relate to elimination of recurring equipment issues, continuous improvement, equipment modular quick change and setup reduction.


Responsibilities

  • Must be able to properly organize, direct and control skilled labor in the areas of equipment PM procedures, repair and safety training.
  • Must have knowledge of computerized maintenance systems to effectively manage all aspects of the maintenance operation including PM planning and scheduling, MRO, work order system, and Preventive/Predictive Operation.
  • Must have the ability to implement and sustain elimination of recurring equipment issues.
  • Meet budget requirements with regard to manning and other department cost.
  • Hands- on approach required at times in assisting subordinates at meeting deadlines.
  • Investigates equipment failures, identifies root causes, develops preventative measures
  • Must be able to identify opportunities that ultimately reduce maintenance cost and increase equipment availability.
  • Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
  • Must be able to write relevant procedures for Preventive Maintenance tasks using the CMMS software.
  • Must be able navigate the CMMS software to schedule Preventive Maintenance activities.
  • Must be able to sufficiently use the CMMS software to schedule Planned Work activities and report outs.
  • Perform other work as assigned by Management including 5S cleaning
  • Attend all meetings and training as scheduled
  • Comply with local, state, and federal guidelines as specified in codes.
  • Comply with plant safety, healthy and personnel policies.
  • Additional responsibilities as neededto support the team and company goals.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance operations OR a combination of education and experience.

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge

  • Must possess required computer skills to properly and effectively perform the job. Required computer skills relate to Microsoft office programs i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Other computer skills relate to maintenance management programs.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance principles, practices and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be a self-starter team-oriented person with exceptional organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • This position is required to be on site at our Lampeter, PA site.
  • Occasional standing, sitting, walking, bending and twisting.
  • Must be able to be safe around operating machinery for inspection of condition and viewing effectiveness of PM’s.
  • Will be exposed to varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
  • Occasional lifting from grams up to 50 pounds
