Job summary

Americold is seeking a Maintenance Planner to plan and schedule upkeep for facility equipment, coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, and support SAP PM upgrades. You will work with the FSM and contractors to uphold maintenance standards and improve processes across the site.

The role requires a strong background in industrial maintenance, experience with SAP PM, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling.
• Industrial maintenance background including hydraulics, ammonia refrigeration systems, welding, pneumatics, and basic troubleshooting.
• At least 1 year of experience using SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) modules and proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly in written and verbal formats.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance activities using CMMS for all facility equipment.
• Assist in solving maintenance-related production issues and support FSM in monitoring CAPEX projects.
• Develop, refine, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems across facility equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance practices, track work order completion rates, and manage outside contractors or partners for preventive maintenance.
• Support APSM management and assist in project implementation as required.

What You'll Do

You will plan and schedule maintenance activities for facility equipment, assist in resolving maintenance-related production issues, and coordinate predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance practices. You will support the local SAP PM functional upgrade team by implementing and improving best practice processes and serve as a backup to the FSM in managing maintenance projects and systems.

Essential Functions

• Plan and schedule maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems for all facility equipment.
• Assist in solving and correcting maintenance-related production issues and support the FSM in monitoring and processing local maintenance CAPEX projects.
• Develop, refine, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems and coordinate maintenance practices for facility equipment.
• Develop measurements for tracking the success and timeliness of maintenance activities such as work order completion rates.
• Perform systematic preventive maintenance including electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections, and minor repairs as needed.
• Work directly with outside contractors or partners to provide preventive maintenance services to designated production equipment and proactively identify potential equipment problems.
• Properly perform all requirements for APSM management and assist in the implementation of projects as required.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.

What Experience and Education You Need

• High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling.
• Extensive industrial maintenance background including hydraulics controls, industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, welding, pneumatics, and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Minimum 1 year of experience using SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) modules and proficiency in Excel and maintenance management software.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly in both written and verbal formats to team members and stakeholders.

Physical Requirements

• Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.

• Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others verbally and/or in writing.

• May require travel by automobile and airplane for business.

• May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.

• May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
