Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Maintenance Planner to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities across its facilities in Virginia. The role requires managing outages, coordinating with frontline supervisors, and ensuring safe, efficient execution of planned work.

The position emphasizes strong organizational skills, leadership, and experience with IT tools to forecast outage metrics. A background in mechanical engineering and SAP-PM proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Equivalent work experience may substitute for formal education requirements.
• Experience with industrial maintenance planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and initiate work orders for mechanical and E/I outages.
• Forecast costs and explain variance for outage work.
• Procure equipment/services with fixed-price focus.
• In charge of repairs, purchases, invoices, and receipts for outages.
• Develop and update job plans for repairs and equipment.
• Audit shop papers and maintain maintenance history.
• Coordinate with Area Coordinators and Mechanical FLS daily.
• Oversee contractors and nested contractors for outages.
• Review backlog outage notifications in SAP and progress P4 orders.
• Create and maintain mechanical maintenance documentation.
• Bill materials for outages as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency.
• Other duties as required.
