Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Maintenance Planner to plan and schedule maintenance for a designated area in its industrial facilities. The role requires coordinating outages, procurement, and documentation to support reliable plant operations.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, organization, leadership, and teamwork skills, with experience in SAP-PM, Primavera, and MS Office tools. A high school diploma with 5+ years’ experience or a Mechanical Engineering degree is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing environment OR Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Experience using IT tools to forecast and monitor key outage metrics (e.g., work hours, progress).
• Experience with Primavera scheduling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and initiate mechanical and E/I work orders; forecast costs for outage work.
• Procure equipment, materials, and outside services with focus on fixed price packages.
• Manage repairs, purchases, invoices and receipts for outage work.
• Develop and update job plans for specific repairs and equipment.
• Review backlog outage notifications in SAP and progress P4 work orders ahead of outage.
• Develop and maintain mechanical maintenance documentation; update as needed.
