Job summary

GEE Group is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate plant maintenance work and help improve equipment uptime. You’ll partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, storeroom teams, and contractors to prepare jobs, manage work orders, and keep maintenance activities organized.

Qualifications

• CMMS administration experience and a strong understanding of maintenance planning.
• Excellent organization, computer skills, and ability to prioritize competing work.
• Clear communication and coordination skills across teams and contractors.
• Asset management experience is a plus; heavy manufacturing or metals processing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown work.
• Build job plans covering labor, parts, tools, permits, safety steps, and equipment access.
• Prioritize the work order backlog based on safety, production needs, and equipment importance.
• Administer the site CMMS and maintain accurate asset records, maintenance tasks, parts lists, and work histories.
• Confirm parts availability and coordinate with storeroom staff on critical spares and inventory.
• Track maintenance performance, identify recurring equipment issues, and support improvement projects.
• Coordinate contractor work, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities.
• Train employees on CMMS processes and documentation standards.
