Job summary

CertainTeed, part of Saint-Gobain Group, is seeking a Maintenance Planner in the United States to turn maintenance strategy into reliable plant performance. You will build detailed work plans, coordinate schedules and resources, manage CMMS and asset data, and use performance insights to boost equipment uptime and workforce productivity.

Responsibilities include creating complete work packages, monitoring execution, managing contractors, and analyzing MTBF/MTTR data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3-5 years of engineering or maintenance-planner experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of technical-writing or maintenance-planning experience.
• Strong computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, ERP/CMMS.
• Organized with ability to train and support software users; position manages one direct resource.

Responsibilities

• Create complete work packages with scope, labor, parts, tools, permits, safety requirements, and documentation.
• Monitor work execution and CMMS documentation; maintain equipment history and failure records.
• Manage contractors and create purchase requisitions for maintenance labor and materials.
• Analyze MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, backlog, and downtime data; develop dashboards and improvements actions.
• Support reliability-centered maintenance, root-cause failure analysis, predictive maintenance, audits, and EWO discrepancy resolution.
• Supervise the storeroom administrator, coordinate cycle counts, and approve additions or removals from the stock list.
• Review safety and environmental forms and confirm planned work meets risk-assessment, LOTO, and regulatory requirements.
