Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) is seeking a Maintenance professional in Blair, WI to manage daily maintenance operations across plant facilities. The role emphasizes parts inventory, spares, and collaboration with mechanics to ensure reliable equipment performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of maintenance experience, familiarity with CMMS, HACCP/GMP/OSHA knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints to support ongoing reliability and safety initiatives at the facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or trade school certificate preferred.
• Five or more years of maintenance experience.
• CMMS maintenance tracking software experience desirable.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, OSHA desirable.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, layouts desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop an accurate inventory of parts and tools required for daily operations.
• Stock required parts and tools in an efficient manner to minimize downtime without stocking excess inventory.
• Collaborate with mechanics to receive parts used for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operation planning to ensure equipment availability and performance.
• Improve maintenance shop efficiency using 5S principles.
• Maintain a system for easy access to small parts and tools for plant operations.
• Work with contractors to minimize emergency repairs and manage service agreements.
• Identify energy efficiency improvement opportunities and support related projects.
• Maintain CMMS records and ensure data quality for management statistics.
• Manage inventory budget, turns, and accuracy under the maintenance manager.
