PURPOSE:

The Maintenance Planner and Procurement Specialist manages efforts around identifying executable maintenance work packages, including work plans, materials, tools, and labor requirements. This role also manages the parts room and associates, and spends time on the production floor inspecting work sites to ensure safety and process considerations are incorporated into job plans.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

  1. Prioritize requests based on failure risk; determine technician requirements and hours.
  2. Maintain asset criticality rankings in the CMMS.
  3. Own the preventative maintenance (PM) program, continuously improving procedures based on failure data.
  4. Manage the predictive maintenance (PdM) program, including infrared testing, vibration analysis, oil analysis, ultrasonic testing.
  5. Review and ensure proper completion of work orders.
  6. Maintain a schedule of work orders requiring equipment shutdowns, updating weekly.
  7. Ensure GMP adherence during maintenance, including contractor work.
  8. Coordinate with other departments to support maintenance activities.
  9. Review completed work for best practices and improvements.
  10. Incorporate safety rules into planning.
  11. Report food safety issues.

Planning Duties

  1. Manage maintenance planning and scheduling, ensuring data accuracy.
  2. Collaborate with M&E and operations to optimize asset downtime.
  3. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and goals.
  4. Provide scheduling support, monitor work order status, and improve data quality.
  5. Prepare maintenance reports and KPIs.
  6. Facilitate work order processes and root cause analysis.

Procurement Duties

  1. Determine and order material needs.
  2. Manage procurement contracts and warranties.
  3. Coordinate with teams on CAPEX projects and contractor performance.
  4. Maintain parts inventory processes and stage materials for work orders.

Skills and Experience Required:

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Basic computer skills, including AS400, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes; MP2 experience preferred.
  • Analytical and math skills.
  • Teamwork and independent work capability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Sense of urgency, prioritization skills, professionalism, integrity.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing environment following GMP standards.

  • Variable temperatures.
  • Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending.

Additional Job Information:
