Position Purpose:

Lead supplier negotiations and contracting with suppliers on behalf of internal customers.

1. Develop and execute Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP) to understand market dynamics and supplier positioning.
2. Lead pricing and contract negotiations on tactical and strategic contracts, assisting with strategy, techniques, and messaging.
3. Coordinate with Legal, Risk, and other stakeholders to ensure contract language protects Centene's interests.
4. Engage with internal customers to identify business needs and define project scope.
5. Support business initiatives by collaborating with business owners and suppliers, leading contract negotiations.
6. Use market research and RFI/RFP results to develop sourcing strategies and identify effective negotiation approaches to maximize value.
7. Assist in preparing internal negotiation strategy documents.
8. Understand the SSP strategic sourcing process, recommend improvements, and support implementation with managerial guidance.
9. Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in project management or negotiations.
• General understanding of sourcing and procurement processes, including soliciting, awarding, contracting, and vendor onboarding.
• Experience with government procurement and flow-down requirements is highly preferred.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Coupa, or similar tools is highly preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred.
• Experience aligning sourcing strategies with enterprise objectives and savings initiatives is highly preferred.
• Experience managing strategic supplier relationships, risk, and compliance programs within assigned categories is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of contracting processes covering Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, Insurance, Security, AI, Privacy, HIPAA, and legal terms is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive sourcing and contracting initiatives is highly preferred.

Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year

Actual pay will be based on skills, experience, education, and other factors. Total compensation may include additional incentives.
