Profile

Purpose and Scope: The Procurement Analyst uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, inform, and enhance processes. They assemble data, analyze performance, identify problems, and develop recommendations. They partner with management to develop strategies and monitor supplier performance, support sourcing and contract negotiations, participate in monthly formulary council, and maintain the medical device products formulary. They assist in analytics related to category sourcing strategy to support Fresenius Medical Care North America's Strategic Procurement objectives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: The Procurement Analyst supports the category management team with key responsibilities including:

  1. Analyzing large datasets to support business operations and strategic goals.
  2. Accessing all relevant spend-data sources.
  3. Contributing to cost savings initiatives affecting financial growth.
  4. Securing stakeholder buy-in for procurement initiatives.
  5. Identifying opportunities for cost reduction through data analysis.
  6. Preparing and managing eSourcing events (RFP, RFI, eAuctions).
  7. Managing data collection, analysis, and insights delivery.
  8. Developing regular reports to provide insights and identify opportunities.
  9. Building relationships with stakeholders across divisions.
  10. Supporting category sourcing strategies and monitoring KPIs for suppliers.
  11. Providing visibility on spend data, market intelligence, and developing sourcing strategies.
  12. Performing other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Infrequent travel (<5%) and standard physical demands of office work. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Experience and Skills: 1-3 years in sourcing or related experience preferred; project management experience desirable; proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; SAP and Ariba experience a plus; strong organizational, analytical, and influencing skills; results-driven and adaptable; capable of managing multiple projects; strong financial analysis skills; ability to develop relationships and influence stakeholders.
