Maintenance Planner

This exciting role will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing maintenance activities across multiple sites within the organization. A solid understanding of preventative maintenance planning within an automated manufacturing environment and leadership skills will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Burlington, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of solar cells and PV Modules for the renewable energy industry. If you are an individual who loves to implement preventative maintenance plans, this role could be for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Implement preventative maintenance plans, ensure efficient communication between maintenance and operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Support new projects by implementing new equipment PMs and integrating them into CMMS.
  • Describe work to be accomplished, estimate labor hours, tools, and resources needed for work orders.
  • Standardize and prepare preventative maintenance plans and schedules aligned with organizational goals across all sites.
  • Act as the primary liaison between maintenance and operations.
  • Lead communication between maintenance and other internal beneficiaries to ensure timely, efficient, and quality service.
  • Coordinate planned downtimes to reduce failures and minimize interference with production.
  • Minimize interruptions once work begins.
  • Support sites in establishing maintenance workforce goals and objectives.
  • Consolidate spare parts inventory across sites to minimize stock levels.
  • Lead global updates to CMMS and provide ongoing training.
  • Administer all changes in CMMS across sites.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives on preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with document control processes.
  • Maintain all maintenance records across sites.
  • Generate reports on maintenance KPIs using CMMS data.
  • Create dashboards highlighting equipment maintenance status (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, Availability, PM Completion).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of related maintenance planning experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and various CMMS software.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout Canada and the USA up to 20% of the time.

Salary Range:

  • $78,000-$82,000 per year depending on experience, plus 8-10% annual bonus.
