Job Description

Vacancy: Technical Maintenance Planner

Location: Royston

Job Family: Maintenance / Engineering

As the Technical Maintenance Planner, you will manage all planned maintenance activities for PGMS. You will plan and prepare for the successful completion of future maintenance work, producing requirements to facilitate short-term and medium-term planning. This includes communicating and liaising with production planning to ensure works are coordinated with operational requirements. You will also plan and organise non-routine maintenance activities, including periodic shutdowns.

Responsibilities include scheduling and organising resources (internal and external), including spares coordination. This role reports to the Lead Maintenance Planner.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture and ensure adherence to JM policies.
• Administer the Maintenance Planning Process as per JM procedures.
• Develop and issue short-term maintenance plans.
• Manage scheduling activities, including resource requirements, vendor readiness, and materials availability.
• Coordinate detailed planning of simultaneous operations to mitigate business risks.
• Work with operations and reliability engineers to review plant performance and adapt maintenance plans to meet OEE targets.
• Identify opportunities to improve resource efficiencies.

Requirements

• Experience in planning, scheduling, and coordination in maintenance or project roles.
• Ability to triage issues and prioritize effectively.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to listen and simplify requests.
• Good knowledge of Asset Management Systems (CMMS).
