Must-Haves

The maintenance planner role delivers routine planning services to support a proactive culture for maintenance tasks. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing qualitative maintenance plans and job packages for preventive and corrective activities.
• Prioritizing safety and environmental considerations through job safety analyses, method statements, and permitting requirements.
• Establishing an adequate backlog to support plant scheduling.
• Monitoring planning accuracy for continuous improvement.
• Contributing to asset Bill of Material (BOM) development to enhance planning and execution efficiencies.
• Maintaining a library of job task lists for easy access and identification of repetitive work planning.

Major Duties:

1. Developing job plans that identify safety hazards, permitting, tools, equipment, and PPE needs (10%).
2. Breaking down critical tasks in job plans, including resource and material requirements (15%).
3. Building a 'ready to be scheduled' backlog with time requirements (15%).
4. Prioritizing jobs based on asset criticality and customer needs (10%).
5. Supporting maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution strategies, emphasizing efficiency and flexibility.

Additional responsibilities include contractor coordination, service entries, requisitioning, preventive maintenance planning, managing job plans, and serving as a SAP PM data manager and SME.

Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum 5 years as a craftsman with an understanding of work management processes. Skills in planning, scheduling, estimating labor, materials, tools, and experience with SAP PM are highly desirable.
