LAZ Parking is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform daily garage and surface lot upkeep, janitorial tasks, and customer assistance in Pasadena, CA. You will greet customers, handle routine issues, operate basic cleaning equipment, and ensure safe, clean facilities consistent with company standards.

The role requires a flexible, team-oriented individual capable of independent decisions, with non-exempt status and opportunities for growth within the LAZ Parking family.

Responsibilities

• Maintain garages and surface lots daily (cleaning, sweeping, trash removal).
• Operate cleaning equipment as needed (sweeper, scrubber) to keep floors clean and safe.
• Complete daily maintenance checklist efficiently and on time.
• Greet customers and resolve issues with a helpful, professional attitude.
• Assist customers at intercoms, lobbies, and parking office as needed.
• Provide vehicle assistance in garages and lots.
• Support cashiering functions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Spirit of the Position:

Maintenanceis responsible for all janitorial responsibilities for garages and surface lots, ensuring they are maintained and cleaned daily. Interface with customers, handle disputes, and provide effective communication between departments, co-workers, customers, and clients.

Principal Job Duties:

• Ensure garages and surface lots are maintained and cleaned daily.
• Responsible for general maintenance of the garage and surface lots - sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, painting etc.
• May need to operate a garage/floor sweeper and scrubber to ensure floors are clean and safe.
• Responsible for ensuring all daily duties on the maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and in a timely.
• Greet customers, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, and develop a rapport with the customer base.
• Provide vehicle assistance to customers in garages and surface lots.
• Assist customers as needed over the intercom system, in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office.
• Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to always help.
• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Experience with general facility maintenance required.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Skills:

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 30 pounds.
