Job summary

Bimbo QSR Chicago is seeking an inventory and parts purchasing associate to manage stock levels and cost-efficient procurement. This role involves processing orders, reconciling invoices, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries.

You will adhere to GMP standards and safety rules while maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous improvements in inventory controls.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent with at least 1 year parts/inventory experience.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; basic math and writing skills.
• Familiarity with mechanical parts and their use.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory and purchase parts cost-effectively.
• Place orders for parts to ensure timely receipt.
• Provide Purchase Orders and reconcile to invoices.
• Use approved suppliers and validate vendors for quality and pricing.
• Compare Purchase Orders with received products for accuracy.
• Follow up on orders for timely receipt.
• Coordinate information flow with vendors, Chief Engineer, Mechanics, and Accounting.
• Notify management of deviations and inventory issues.
• Adhere to GMPs and Food Safety rules (BRC Standard).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
