Job summary

Ventura Foods is seeking a Maintenance Inventory Coordinator in Birmingham, AL to support the Maintenance department by entering data in a computerized database and maintaining documentation and inventory integrity.

The role focuses on managing work orders, tracking parts, performing cycle counts, and supporting procurement activities while collaborating with maintenance staff to ensure equipment availability and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with PC based maintenance management systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical instrumentation and preventative maintenance is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a computerized work order system and track history of work performed, quantities, and actions taken.
• Maintain daily records for the Preventive Maintenance System and evaluate upgrades.
• Conduct cycle counts of spare parts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Generate reports and maintain spreadsheets, forms and documentation.
• Assist mechanics in locating parts and keep the Parts Cage orderly.
• Originates purchase requisitions and/or purchase orders to vendors for parts and services.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the EAM Planner/Scheduler, Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance Manager.
