Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a team of maintenance technicians responsible for corrective, predictive and preventative tasks on material handling equipment and scanning systems.

The role requires strong leadership, budget awareness, and hands-on expertise in mechanical and electrical controls, PLCs and CMMS. Responsibilities include staff development, vendor management, and ensuring safety and quality standards across operations.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years industrial maintenance experience required; plus six (6) (or four (4) years with relevant degree) of combined maintenance and/or people management experience.
• Preferred experience leading project teams or supervising lower level employees.
• Experience with mechanical power transmission and/or electrical power or machine controls; ability to develop and implement QA-driven improvements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance technicians and coach staff to meet performance expectations.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day department operations.
• Ensure budget adherence and address variances.
• Communicate quality and safety standards aligned with FedEx.
• Oversee preventative maintenance program and CMMS activities.
• Provide technical expertise in sortation electrical/mechanical systems.
• Conduct quality audits and drive process improvements.
• Manage vendor bids and maintenance contracts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
