Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Maintenance Technician II Coordinator in Indiana to support maintenance operations across lines, manage PMs, and coordinate resources. The role emphasizes safety, equipment reliability, and prompt response to line calls, with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and overtime.

The candidate should have 1–3 years in related fields, strong mechanical aptitude, and experience with SAP PM, electrical and motor controls.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Electrical (24DC, 120/277/480AC) systems.
• Ability to plan job schedules and processes.
• Ability to work on projects individually and cross-functionally.
• Adaptable to changing and nonstandard situations while maintaining safety.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of ladder logic preferred.
• Knowledge of 480-volt AC/DC motor controls required.

Responsibilities

• Support Maintenance Supervisor in meeting departmental goals including line call management, PM completion, budget stewardship, and project execution.
• Coordinate maintenance resources to address line calls while considering safety, quality, and productivity.
• Work within the SAP PM environment to create, update, and close out work orders.
• Determine manpower for planned work with Maintenance Supervisor.
• Prepare for planned/shutdown work and follow up for completeness.
• Request quotes and generate purchase requisitions for materials for work orders.
• Print and organize PMs for Maintenance Technicians.
• Review completed PMs and generate follow-up work orders as needed.
• Review shift notes and complete requested follow-ups.
• Input shift notes into downtime tracker.
• Identify turnover work and communicate it.
• Support production by minimizing downtime and ensuring prompt response times.
• Complete planned maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform minor electrical tasks (sensors, fuses, breakers, etc.).
• Follow safety policies and uphold Wabash Leadership Principles and Values.
• Work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• May require 12-hour shifts and overtime, including weekends, depending on plant needs.
• Assignments in Duraplate division may require 12-hour shifts across various schedules.
• Perform other duties as needed.
