Job summary

Wabash in Lafayette, IN is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for 3rd shift (Nights) in the Duraplate division. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and minimize downtime.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams. The position involves overtime, weekend work, and safe operation of tools and equipment; SAP PM experience is

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading, writing & verbal skills.
• 1–3 years in related maintenance field.
• Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Knowledge of tools and measurement devices (micrometers, calipers).
• SAP and SAP PM experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of ladder logic & 480V motor controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Minimize equipment downtime and provide prompt response times.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform electrical work on sensors, fuses, and breakers.
• Follow safety policies and company values.
• Work solo or with cross-functional teams.
• May work 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts with overtime.
• Assignments may require 12-hour coverage in Duraplate.
• Perform other duties as needed.
