Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support production, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems. The role requires adaptability to 8–12 hour shifts, overtime, and cross-functional collaboration on the plant floor in Indiana.

Candidates should have 1–3 years in related fields, be able to pass a drug screen, and possess basic communication skills. SAP PM familiarity is a plus, with emphasis on safety and operational reliability.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading, writing, and verbal skills.
• 1–3 years’ experience in related field.
• Experience with SAP PM is a plus.
• Knowledge of ladder logic and 480-volt AC/DC motor controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support production by minimizing equipment downtime and providing prompt response times.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and planned production equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform minor tasks on electrical components such as sensors, fuses, breakers, etc.
• Follow safety policies and company values.
• Work on projects individually and with a cross-functional team.
• Maintain 12-hour shift coverage as needed and work overtime weekends.
• Perform other duties as needed.
