Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, read schematics, and use hand and power tools to service drives, motors, and belts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of safety practices.

Qualifications

3+ years of maintenance/electrician experience in manufacturing.
Experience with PLCs and ability to read schematics.
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of basic safety programs, lock-out/tag-out procedures, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanics.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50–65 lbs, with team lifting when needed.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, electrical components and special purpose machines.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints or manuals.
Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and replace parts.
Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, and replace filters per checklists.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly.
Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using hoists, cranes and tools.
Contribute to team goals while working independently.
Other duties as assigned.
