Job summary

Darigold in Boise, ID is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain all plant equipment and partner with the Operations Division. Schedule: Thu-Sat and every other Wed 6:00pm-6:30am. $2,000 sign on bonus. You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance, read schematics, and fabricate repair parts.

Must be proficient in PLCs, electrical controls, and instrumentation, with strong teamwork and communication skills. Sanitary welding and boiler/refrigeration experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 yrs exp. in mechanical/electrical maintenance, or instrumentation certificate.
• Food background preferred, specifically dairy.
• Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Fabricates repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Proficient in process instrumentation including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and calibration.
• Read, understand and troubleshoot using electrical schematics.
• General electrical troubleshooting of 24V, 110V, 220V and 480V systems.
• Understand the theory behind process flow.
