Job summary

Darigold, Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain plant equipment, perform repairs, and support the Operations Division. The role involves a Thursday–Saturday schedule with every other Wednesday night shift from 6:00pm to 6:30am, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

You will diagnose, repair and calibrate machines, read schematics, and ensure safe, efficient production. Responsibilities include reducing downtime through proactive maintenance, fabricating parts, and supporting

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and reduce downtime by informing production staff of maintenance needs.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment.
• Calibrate and service process instrumentation and controls.
• Read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and 24V/110V/220V/480V systems.
• Understand and optimize process flow across equipment and systems.

Job description

The Maintenance Mechanic must possess the desire and ability to maintain all plant equipment. As a member of the Boise team the Maintenance Mechanic will be a partner in the Operations Division. The Maintenance Mechanic’s role is to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.

Schedule: Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6:00pm-6:30am.

$2,000 sign on bonus!

What You Will Do

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer\'s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Proficient in process instrumentation including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and calibration
• Read, understand and troubleshoot using electrical schematics
• General electrical troubleshooting of 24v, 110v, 220v and 480v systems
• Understand the theory behind process flow

What You Bring:

• Highly proficient and experienced in troubleshooting, PLC s, electrical controls, instrumentation
• Knowledgeable in the areas of mechanical machinery, steam, boiler, pneumatic & hydraulic operations
• Read/understand blueprints, electrical schematics and equipment manuals
• Strong team, verbal, and written skills
• Sanitary welding experience required
• Boiler and/or Refrigeration experience preferred

Nice to Have’s

• Min. 3 yrs. exp. in mechanical/electrical maintenance, or instrumentation certificate
• Food background preferred, specifically dairy
• Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas (production, logistics), within consumer products.
