Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Distribution Center operations in New York. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment, conveyors, and PLC-controlled systems, with a strong emphasis on safety and PM documentation.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of field experience, appropriate degrees or certificates, and the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2-year technical certificate in mechanical or electrical application required.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or similar role.
• Welding, burning and cutting skills required.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage) and equipment.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Good safety awareness; ability to stand, bend, reach, push/pull and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements and OSHA standards for LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; document PM work.
• Report spare parts usage and inventory to maintenance leaders.
• Train junior technicians to improve performance and troubleshooting skills.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Perform additional duties to support DC operations.
